The Winter School of the CBU Information and Communications Technology programme was held in Petrozavodsk, on February 8th-12th, 2010. There were 21 participants from the Finnish partner universities, and nine students from the partner universities in St. Petersburg. The student group was very multinational, representing 11 nationalities.
For many students, it was their first visit to Russia, and the week was unforgettable for many of them. As one of the students writes:
- I had a great time at Petrozavodsk. Both in education and entertainment.
During the Winter School the students participated on the following courses:
“Data Security – cryptographic basis” instructed by Martti Penttonen from University of Eastern Finland
“Performance Modelling for Wireless Data Communication II” instructed by Olga Bogoiavlenskaya from Petrozavodsk State University.
